The Adoption Council of Ontario is holding an Education Day in Toronto on Saturday, April 21, 2012. This year’s theme is “All Children Are Special: Parenting the Child with Different Needs”. The keynote address will be given by Kim Stevens of the North American Council of Adoptable Children and the Community Champions Network and is entitled “Labels and For Cans, Not Children”.
Other workshops and sessions include “Understanding the Mental Health Needs of Infants and Toddlers”, “The Impact of Trauma on Learning”, “Parenting an Older Child: The Adoption Experience” and others.
